Mini cards... an obsession?

For me it's almost an obsession to use every single part of my patterned paper. I don't want to throw away any piece. I do save all of the little papers in a box, never know when you'll need it, right? But most of the time I create mini cards with the leftovers. You can imagine how much of those mini cards I have in stock by now...

So here are a few more:
Today I will visit the Crea Weekend in Rijswijk. To buy some new fun stuff off course! It's a maket with all the good scrapbook stores... curious what they brought from America.

Another card..

This card is kind of a card lift, because I saw a card like this by Moon Hulsman in the latest edition of Cards Only magazine. Inside the card is a little lable where you can put some stamped text. For me it was kind of an experiment...

Just a card to show...

I made this card a few days ago. Not one of my best, but I love the colors.

Have a nice day!

Budget tip: Wonderful Wall Paper... for free

I love to redecorate. My living room, my bed room... love to see new colors, new stuff, It's like creating cards and scrapbook layouts. That's probably why I love to shop and buy nothing. Just seeing new stuff makes me happy (I admit, buying new stuff is even better). So when I don't have much money to spend or want to save some money I walk into some home furniture shops and get myself inspired by the pretty rooms they show.

I also love to run into a do-it-yourself-market. Not for stupid things like hammers and screwdrivers, but to look what the new collection of wall paper looks like. In Holland you can even take little samples for free! So I pick a few of the most wonderful dessins and take some home to create without spending more money...

For the new fun Card Patters sketch #107 I used some black and silver wall paper samples:

Thank you present...

Tomorrow I'm invited for dinner at my friends house. I always like to bring a little gift for the one who invites me. So I cleaned this vegetable pot and decorated it with some fun papers. I still have to put some candy in it...
I think I created this in 5-10 minutes, so you can try it yourself, even if you're in a hurry!

Cardabilities sketch #27

Over at Nancy's blog I read about the cardabilities blog. Today I had time to make sketch #27...
This is the result:

Card Patterns # 106

Today I had a busy day cleaning the house... has to be done right? But... after cleaning I had some time to create! Finally, 'cause it's been a few days... I tried to make something of the nice sketch over at the Card Patterns blog. This is what I came up with:

Dutch cards part six...

Today the last Dutch card to share...
I think this one is my favorite... it reaches almost my scrap style.

It was fun making these step-by-step cards, but I don't think I will make more of them in the future. I'm looking forward to making some real scrap cards with all of the pretty papers I have in my scrap room.

I think I will join some challenges this week...

Have a nice day!

Dutch cards part 5...

Again some more Dutch cards to share...

Dutch cards part 4...

Today some other Dutch cards to share...

Dutch cards part 3...

A new day, a new card... this guitar card is good to have in stock for a male birthday.

Dutch cards part 2...

Today I'll show you another Dutch card. I think this one is very cute. Love the bird and the colors. Wish it was spring time already, how about you?

Have a nice day!

Some different Dutch cards part 1...

Last week a friend gave me an old card magazine. With that magazine you can create 30 step-by-step cards. She thought it was something for me. So I have been looking in this magazine and created some of the cards. It's not my style anymore (I used to make such cards about 8-10 years ago), but I really enjoyed making them. So the next few days I will show you some of my 'Dutch cards'. When you know Holland, you see this must be the most Dutch card of them all...

My first swap...

Today I'd like to share you the result of my first swap over at the Nederlandse Swappers blog. They organise a fun swap once in a while. This time you had to make paperclips for the one you are linked to. I was linked to Marian van Eindhoven.

These are the pretty paperclips I got from Marian:

And these are the ones I made for her:

CPS sketch #206

I know I am too late, but last weekend I created a card based on CPS's sketch #206. I think it was a pretty difficult sketch... This is my card:
